In the darkness of barbarism men knew the truth without the facts. In the twilight of half-civilization, they saw the truth illuminating the facts. In the full blaze and radiance of complete civilization they found all the facts and lost the truth forever
Has anyone shot you lately?

Axial tilt is the reason for the season.
If so, be sure to finish your speech and don't whine about it on stage.

Smiting is not a lateral business.
My jaw and neck have been sore on the left side for a couple of weeks. It even hurts to swallow on that side.
I was starting to think I needed to get medical attention, when I remembered - I've been playing the violin for hours at a time lately, more than I've ever played in my life.
Duh.

What a helpful article! Very informative, it seems that jaw pain is a well known problem among violinists. Thanks, doc.

Has anyone shot you lately?
Not that I am aware of, and I have not noticed any spurting blood, unusual entrance or exit wounds, or small bits of deformed metal showing up where I have been sitting for extended periods.
But I shan't rule it out. . . . .

Long-time listener, first-time caller.
I've got some plantar fasciitis in my right heel from a bout of running too hard previously. I've eased up since then, took a break, and came back to running. The heel pain subsides but cranks up again for about 24hrs after any particularly strenuous run (8-10k). I've got a number of races scheduled in the summer I want to work toward - 5k cross-country, etc. Do I keep running or lay off? Would moving to barefoot running help?

Axial tilt is the reason for the season.
Not Cliff, but the only things that really and truly helped me was to get the orthopedic heel shoe inserts and at night, every night, I would roll my foot over a bottle of frozen water. It would stretch it and ice it at the same time. But I think the shoe inserts especially helped a lot.

Kittehs are sold by weight, not by volume. Some settling may have occurred.
Google exercises for plantar fasciitis. I had it after pregnancy and the exercises helped a lot.

It's a long way from your heart.
I stepped on a nail during a home renovation project. I'm up to date on my tetanus vaccines, so do I have anything to worry about?

Clipper ship Cutty Sark: 1863 - 05/21/2007. Be like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again!
I don't think so - I've done that before. I've heard the most important thing to do is let it bleed for a bit to wash out any dirt that may have gone into the wound with the nail.

Jesus loves liberals. However, the rest of us know they're total assholes.
Lately, I've been having a lot of sex with groups of beautiful women.
Is it possible that I could wear-out my man-unit?
