This article is about what's happening in South Africa, but I've read about similar predation of great whites talking place off the coast of California. It's a rare event, apparently, but not unheard of.
Good article. I know this happens in Monterey Bay periodically. Particularly when the seal and sea lion populations are diminished. The sharks and whales are competing for the same food, obviously.
I'm boggled by the idea of a shark liver weighing more than 130 pounds.
Me too. That's probably why the whales find them so tasty.
Ha. My mind saw Marine and Battle and Massacre and posted by Pincher and I thought what are those crazy jarheads up to now?
Lots of laughs, Fatdirt.
Fava beans and chiainti!
That's quite funny, Kim.
