A very dear friend of mine is there and was in the VIP section with unlimited infield access. He first texted me at 8:12 p.m. EST to say "I am ok," thinking I'd already seen the news. He and his cousin have minor injuries but saw some terrible, tragic things. He said there was blood and av gas everywhere.

Wow! Had to be shockingly amazing to witness. I understand there might have been an issue with at least one of the flight surfaces comprising the tail assembly -- perhaps the elevator assembly.

Eek, a construction guy I was working with last Thursday was going to that and now the news is saying a construction worker from around here was one of the people killed.

Henry the man killed from Washington was named Greg Morcom. I hope it isn't the guy you were working with.
